Yes. You practise in our lab and in partner hospitals. Expect about 10–20 hours a week of lab and hospital practice, depending on the semester. Attendance in hospital postings is compulsory.
You can look for roles such as Physician Assistant, ward in-charge assistant, emergency assistant and OPD coordinator in hospitals, clinics and nursing homes. It is a good start if you want to work in healthcare after 12th. It is a support role, not a doctor's degree. Jobs and pay are not guaranteed. They depend on your skills and the employer.
A doctor diagnoses illness and decides treatment. A Physician Assistant helps the doctor with history, vitals, tests, records and patient care, under the doctor's guidance.

The "BSS" in the name stands for Bharat Sevak Samaj, the body whose curriculum and exam pattern this diploma follows. The centre code AHE029 tells you which batch and syllabus you belong to. Quote it when you enquire.
This is a skill-based diploma. It is not an MBBS and not a university degree. It is built to make you job-ready for hospital support roles in two years.
You can apply if you have passed Class 12 in any stream (Arts, Commerce or Science).
If you are from Arts or Commerce, do not worry. We start with the basics of the human body and medical words. Many students join from non-science backgrounds.
Minimum marks: 10+2 passed, preferably in Science, minimum percentage as per the admitting BSS study centre.
Age limit: Minimum 17–18 years, final age requirement as per the admitting BSS study centre.
Medical fitness: Medically fit for clinical training, a medical fitness certificate may be required by the admitting BSS study centre.
The course is 2 years long. It mixes three parts:
Attendance in hospital postings is compulsory to get your certificate. Semester or year-wise plan: Year 1 covers basic sciences, nursing fundamentals, pharmacology, microbiology, first aid, and community health, Year 2 covers medical and surgical nursing, midwifery, child health, communicable diseases, hospital practices, and practical/clinical training, as per the BSS AHE029 syllabus and the admitting study centre.

Practice is the heart of this course. You practise in our lab first. Then you move to hospital wards and departments under supervision. A logbook records your progress, so you and your teachers can see what you have learned.
On passing, you receive the BSS Diploma in Physician Assistant certificate. The certificate is issued by Bharat Sevak Samaj (BSS) through the admitting BSS study centre. Before admission, ask the centre for its BSS authorisation/affiliation letter and confirm whether this diploma is accepted for the government job or higher study you are aiming for.

Good to know: India’s NCAHP Act, 2021 lists “Physician Associate” among its recognised healthcare categories. Rules for qualifications and practice are set by the National Commission for Allied and Healthcare Professions. Ask our counsellor how this diploma fits current rules.

Job titles differ from one hospital to another. Pay depends on the hospital, city, shift and your skills. AIPS shares entry-level ranges of ₹2.4–4.8 lakh a year for private healthcare in Assam and the Northeast. These are not guarantees.
